NTSE


This exam is conducted in class 10 and is a must give for all students as it induces early exposure to competitions.
For stage 1, stick to NCERT books. You should study mental ability too. Learn each and every word of NCERT books, especially social sciences.

For stage 2, extra preparations are required. Mental ability questions are tougher and lengthy. Science and Mathematics questions are also tougher and require more preparations.

The best way is to join some preparation program. I was at resonance and their study material is very good. It has stage 2 level questions too. Mental ability is covered really well.

If you are unable to obtain a preparatory package for NTSE, go for books like Pradeep which provide in-depth coverage. I found Cengage's packages to be quite good for NTSE.

    I want to ask you can you please tell me NTSE eligibility of 2018-19.I live in Delhi . I was not able to secure good marks in class 9 . I scored below 60% and I heard that appearing for NTSE stage 1 you must secure 60% marks .is it true

    Yes,It is true.
    A minimum of 60% marks in Class IX is required. SC, ST and PH candidates will need 55% marks in Class IX.

      For SAT part in NTSE Stage 1, you should focus on State boards books, i.e., M.P. Board Books. It will surely helo you, specialllyin Biology and Social Science part.

    I am a 9th grader and I have decided to prepare for NTSE,I also heard that some topics of 11th chemistry should be touched for stage 2 is it true?I am confused about what to do.Should I get myself NCERT 11th chemistry or just 9th and 10th will do the work?Also one more question should I buy concepts of physics by HC Verma?
